Both principals are involved in every initial engagement, scoping the decision and designing the right combination of Labs. Once the scope and proposal are agreed, tasks are divided based on where each principal’s expertise delivers the most value. There are no juniors, no subcontractors and no account managers.
What is the Decision Transparency Lab?
The Decision Transparency Lab is the most cross-referenced Lab in the system. It examines where decision-making power sits, how it moves, who is accountable, what systems constrain the decision space, and what happens to human judgement after automated or systematised processes are embedded.
What is the Risk Trajectory Engine?
Conventional risk assessment captures risk at a point in time. The Risk Trajectory Engine tracks how risks evolve from pre-decision conditions through implementation and into long-term operation. It maps where risk transfers when a decision is made, identifies where multiple risks compound into systemic exposure, and detects where organisations have silently drifted from their stated risk tolerance.
Is Pūtake Labs only for AI-related decisions?
No. AI assurance is an important pathway, but the Labs apply equally to strategy, policy, civic decisions, service design, organisational change, stakeholder engagement and implementation planning. Any decision where the cost of being wrong is significant.
How does AI support the work?
Pūtake Labs uses AI-supported analysis and simulation behind the work. Clients engage a decision intelligence practice, not a technology product. AI helps us see further, faster. Humans remain responsible for judgement, cultural context and accountability. Read our Responsible AI Policy.
